Our story
Who we help and what we are good at
We scaffold for two kinds of customer. Homeowners who need safe access for a re-roof, an extension, rendering, chimney work or storm repairs — and contractors, builders and roofers who need access delivered to a programme without chasing anybody.
Billy Kelly has been scaffolding for 24 years. He started Square Scaffolding Solutions to run jobs the way he thought they should be run: turn up when you say you will, price it honestly, build it properly, and pick the phone up when the customer calls. The company has been trading for nearly three years on that basis and the team is now five strong.
What we specialise in is access that fits the job rather than the other way round — domestic and commercial scaffolding, temporary roofs that keep a building watertight through British weather, birdcage and access decks, chimney platforms, roof edge protection, loading bays, shoring and industrial work.
We work from Eastergate near Chichester, which puts most of West Sussex within a short run. Our regular patch covers West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and East Sussex, including Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Arundel, Worthing, Portsmouth and Horsham.

Our job is to make yours easier — safely
Scaffolding is the first trade on site and the last off it. If it is late, badly thought out or unsafe, everything behind it suffers. We hold ourselves to four simple standards.
Built by carded scaffolders
Every operative on our team holds an in-date CISRS card and the work is supervised by Billy, who holds a Gold Scaffolding Supervisor card. Nothing is sub-let to whoever is free that week.
Paperwork when you need it
Risk assessments, method statements and handover packs are issued on request — standard on our commercial and contractor work, and available to homeowners who want it.
Respect for the property
Reviews mention it more than anything else: we work around conservatories, borders and driveways, keep the site tidy and look after your neighbours as well as you.
Solutions, not problems
Awkward access, sloping ground, a conservatory in the way — we would rather work out how it can be done than tell you it cannot.
